I take my daughter with me--she went to med school in Charleston so Rich and I used to go often. The reasons I like it is the swimming, easy walking, and proximity to Charleston and Folly Beach. There's even a shuttle to Charleston. It's not the usual kind of camping I do, but it's nice because of the reason's I mentioned. I don't remember too many kids being there, but we were off and about most of the time so they may very well have been. I'm back tracking reading some of your posts ans I just "discovered" you, again, after being out of commission for a while and a computer crash. I'm anxious to see where you wound up and how you liked it.hobopalshttp://travelswithmrnimble.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8357843130055448549.post-80275199822043419132013-04-09T07:14:37.246-05:002013-04-09T07:14:37.246-05:00We do look forward to visiting this campground som...We do look forward to visiting this campground sometime, Brenda. I think the spring break / Cajun festival activities were just a little much for us this time. The rainy weather added insult to injury. Thanks for the positive feedback. You're right... just bad timing. I truly believe it was just bad timing though. When we were there in February campers were scattered about sporadically. We actually had such a nice time and there's so much to do in that area (our first time there) we ended up extending our stay another week. No issue staying on our site the whole time and we never had neighbors. Again, I think it was all in the timing. I certainly would not want to be there in the summer time or school break time when the water park and all the activities are in full swing. I'm glad they gave you a refund. They seemed nice when we were there. Here's our blog that has our Charleston adventures on there. http://www.outsideourbubble.com/what-a-wonderful-county-park-james-island-county-park-scBrendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11619754740541258469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8357843130055448549.post-75395783094445055182013-04-06T22:33:11.740-05:002013-04-06T22:33:11.740-05:00How glad you must have been to have your money ref...How glad you must have been to have your money refunded--a rarity in our experience. We too have learned that we don't enjoy campgrounds filled with families and all the noise that goes with it. The muddy sites and moving three times would have done it for me. And my hubby who likes almost everything, had to spit his out also. Really bad. I'm glad you're leaving that campground. What a disaster. And poor Ozzie is having enough problems as it is. Hope you can find a place that will work for you to meet up with your friends.Jim and Sandiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16108729200561576870noreply@blogger.com
